Got a topic you want to talk about? Many areas of significance have been rolled out recently within the drinking water industry. Present and share ideas at the 12th Annual Water Quality & Treatment Symposium presented by the Connecticut Section AWWA.
Criteria for selection - Originality, Case Studies, Innovation, Significance of Work, Audience Range, Technical Content, Quality of Abstract, and Real-Life Relevance.
Suggested topics include - Climate change issues/impacts, source water protection/management; water quality sampling, testing, and laboratory analysis; on-line water quality analyzers; drinking water contaminants (occurrence, management, treatment) – emerging, organic, inorganic, biological; treatment processes and techniques, UV, AOP, Ozone, DAF, membrane filtration, biological treatment; PFAS treatment - operating challenges, lessons learned; taste and odor issues; drinking water treatment residuals – operations, management, disposal; disinfection practices and disinfection by-product control; distribution system water quality and system issues (including legacy manganese); distribution system operations, storage, and management; corrosion control and the Lead and Copper Rule; regulatory issues & policy issues; cyber security; energy optimization and sustainability, etc.
