The OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course is a comprehensive training program designed to educate workers on essential practices and standards for maintaining safety in construction. It provides participants with an understanding of OSHA regulations and highlights the importance of workplace safety to reduce accidents and injuries. Through interactive discussions, practical scenarios, and instruction, participants will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to promote a culture of safety on the job site. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training Credential and wallet card as well as 10 TCH's (pending DPH approval)

Learned Outcomes: Participants of this course will:

• Understand the purpose and structure of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the importance of compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Recognize common workplace hazards and learn strategies to mitigate risks while working in the drinking water field.
• Identify and evaluate various safety hazards, including electrical, fall, struck-by, and caught-in/between hazards.
• Acquire the skills needed to recognize site-specific hazards and implement accident prevention strategies.

Presenter: Dr. Scott Patrick Smith CSP –Tighe & Bond

Scott is the Corporate Safety & Health Director, specializing in applied risk assessment, management, and legal compliance.  He is an avid public speaker and a Professor of Applied Safety at Keene State College. In this OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course, Dr. Smith will leverage his unique blend of academic knowledge and real-world experience to provide a clear, engaging, and relevant learning experience. His goal is to empower participants with the essential safety knowledge and skills necessary to proactively identify and mitigate hazards on construction sites, ultimately contributing to a safer and more productive work environment
